Homicide charges have been filed against a Pittsburgh man following a shooting incident in Duquesne that left two dead in January, according to Post-Gazette news partner KDKA-TV.
Ishmeil Muhammad, 28, is accused of shooting two victims — Sean Johnson Jr., 30, of Turtle Creek, and Catherine Lawing, 39, of Duquesne — in the head at 5:04 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 20, at a home on the 100 block of Commonwealth Avenue.
Johnson Jr. was pronounced dead at the scene, while Lawing was transported for treatment to Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh, where she died three days later.
Detectives from the Allegheny County Police Homicide Unit, who led the investigation, indicated to KDKA that they identified Muhammad as a suspect through witness statements and surveillance video.
Muhammad is being held in the Allegheny County Jail, where he is awaiting arraignment.
