Police investigate road rage incident on Parkway West

Pittsburgh police are seeking information on a road rage incident Sunday on the Parkway West that sent a man to a hospital in critical condition.

Police responded around 6:50 p.m. to the area of Exit 69A of Interstate 376 West for reports of rifle rounds fired into a vehicle from a passing vehicle.

The first responders found a 60-year-old male victim with a gunshot wound to his eye. Medics transported the victim to a hospital, where he underwent surgery.

According to police, a White Mazda SUV fled the scene and continued westbound. They are speaking with witnesses and are interested in securing any video of the incident. 

Major Crimes detectives and the Crime Scene Unit are investigating.
