Gun confiscated from student at McKeesport High School

A handgun was confiscated from a student Tuesday morning at McKeesport High School.

At 8:15 a.m., a security guard found a gun in a student’s bag and reported it to police and administrators, according to a Facebook post from McKeesport Area School District. 

The student did not make it past the security checkpoint, and no students or staff were harmed, district officials said.

The district said they will follow disciplinary policy and procedures.
