Two teenagers were killed in separate shootings in Beaver County over the weekend in Ambridge and Aliquippa.
A 14-year-old was shot and killed in Ambridge about 7 p.m. Sunday along the 1100 block of Church Street.
The boy was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Beaver County police.
There are two suspects in the shooting; one was taken into custody after a SWAT team was called to an apartment along nearby Olive Lane, according to Post-Gazette news partner KDKA-TV.
As of Monday morning, the other suspect’s whereabouts, and whether there was a motive, remained unknown.
On Saturday, 15-year-old Dahvea Sparrow was shot and killed at a house party in Aliquippa.
The shooting occurred around 11:30 p.m. by Main and Knoll streets.
Dahvea’s family and Aliquippa Mayor Dwan Walker are asking for the community’s help to solve this case, according to KDKA.
"This was a great kid," Mr. Walker said. "He was one of these kids that lit up a room. He was one of these kids whose life was ahead of him. This dude could have been the mayor, he could have been anything."
