A boy who was hit by a driver Tuesday night in Pittsburgh’s Glen Hazel neighborhood has died.
The Allegheny County medical examiner said early Wednesday morning that 6-year-old Jamel Austin, of Pittsburgh, died just after 9 p.m. Tuesday.
Pittsburgh police said officers responded to the Johnston Avenue at around 8:20 p.m. after Jamel was struck by the driver’s vehicle.

Police said first responders performed CPR on Jamel before he was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
The driver stayed on scene, police said.
