SWAT team responds to Hill District robbery

Pittsburgh Police responded to the 2100 block of Bedford Avenue for a reported robbery Sunday evening.

At the scene around 6:30 p.m., police met with the victim, who said he was robbed while delivering a pizza.

The delivery driver was robbed at gunpoint and saw the suspect run into a home on Bedford Avenue, according to Pittsburgh Public Safety. 

A SWAT team arrived at the scene in search of a male suspect who carried a long gun into a home. 

After officers gave verbal commands to exit, SWAT and a K9 officer conducted a search and cleared the residence.

Police said the rifle used in the incident was located but police did not find the suspect in the home.
