A man is in critical condition after being shot in McKeesport early Thursday morning, Allegheny County police said.
County 911 was called just after 12:45 a.m. for a report of shots fired at the intersection of Bailie Avenue and Flagler Street.
Responding officers learned that a gunshot victim had walked into a nearby hospital and that there was a related car crash nearby, police said.
First responders said they found the man who had been shot at the hospital, where he was in critical condition.
Police described the car crash several blocks away in the 600 block of Versailles Avenue as “associated with this incident,” but they did not give any more details or explain how the crash was related to the shooting.
County police detectives are investigating. As of Thursday morning, no one had been charged or detained in the shooting or crash.
