Carrick store robbed at gunpoint; police searching for suspect

Pittsburgh police are searching for a suspect after a store was robbed at gunpoint in Carrick early Monday morning.

The clerk of the store, which is located in the 1900 block of Brownsville Road, told police that a man entered the store around 3 a.m., “accosted a customer” and demanded the clerk open the store’s safe.

The clerk said the man had a gun and was wearing a ski mask and gloves.

The suspect fled with cash and a bank bag, police said.

No one was injured. 

Police are investigating.
