Federal agents found nothing after investigating a bomb threat Monday afternoon concerning the William S. Moorhead Federal Building in Downtown Pittsburgh.
Agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives along with local police had evacuated the building, at Liberty Avenue and Grant Street, in the afternoon so they could search it, according to ATF spokesman Rob Cucinotta. The threat was made by telephone, he said.
There were no injuries, “only a threat,” city public safety officials said.
