Police are searching for two suspects believed to be “armed and dangerous” in connection with a shooting in McKeesport on Tuesday night that left two 15-year-old boys critically injured.
The suspects were driving a bronze 2020 Chevy Malibu, according to Allegheny County police Lt. Venerando Costa. The car has a Wisconsin license plate with the number ABT-6967.
Police said they found the vehicle in Whitaker, near Munhall and Braddock on Wednesday afternoon. Officials are still searching for suspects, but have not released descriptions and no arrests have been made.
Authorities responded just before 9:30 p.m. Tuesday to the 900 block of Craig Street and found the two teens shot, police said. They were taken to a local hospital in critical condition, but are expected to survive their injuries, Mr. Costa said Wednesday morning.
Anyone with information concerning the shooting is asked to call the Allegheny County police Tip Line at 1-833-ALL-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous.
