Indiana University of Pennsylvania officials confirmed Saturday that the two people injured in Friday’s shooting are students.
A message from university officials said the individuals who were injured, one of whom was shot, are students.
“We will work with them and their families to provide appropriate support,” Thomas C. Segar, vice president for student affairs, wrote in the statement.
Indiana borough police responded Friday evening to an attempted robbery in the 800 block of Wayne Ave. The shooting occurred two blocks from IUP’s main campus.
The suspects, described Friday by the university as three black men in ski masks, are still at-large.
Those with knowledge on the incident can call an anonymous crime tip hotline at 724-357-2255, the release said.
