Pittsburgh police are searching for two suspects after armed robberies at two Rite-Aid pharmacies in the city Wednesday night.
No one was injured in the robberies, police said.
The first robbery was reported shortly after 7:45 p.m. at a Rite-Aid at 1800 Morningside Ave. in the city’s Morningside neighborhood, police said.
Employees told police that a man wearing a white hoodie entered the store, walked up to a store clerk with a handgun in his waistband and demanded money.
The robber left with an undetermined amount of cash. Police said the suspect is in his early 20s and is about 5 feet 11 inches tall.
Then less than an hour later, another robbery was reported around 8:30 p.m. at a Rite-Aid at 802 Pennsylvania Ave. on the North Side, according to police.
Employees there told police that a man wearing a black hoodie was buying candy when he reached into a register and took an undetermined amount of money. He ran out of the store.
That suspect is described as about 6 feet 3 inches tall and 150 pounds.
Police continue to investigate.
