2 wounded in late-night shooting in Hill District

A man and a woman are hospitalized following a shooting in Pittsburgh’s Hill District Tuesday night.

City police responded to reports of shots fired in the area of Centre Avenue and Morgan Street in Terrace Village around 10 p.m.

Officers found a man with a gunshot wound to the neck and a woman who was shot in the knee. They were taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Witnesses told police that several people were gathered in a courtyard area in the rear of a building when one or more individuals opened fire. The shooters fled on foot, and police believe they may have gotten into a white vehicle, according to investigators.

The investigation continues.
