Fire reported late Monday at Duquesne bar where fatal shooting occurred

A fire was reported late Monday night at a Duquesne bar where one man was killed and another was wounded less than 24 hours earlier.

Shortly before 11 p.m. Monday, the shift commander at the county 911 center confirmed there was "fire activity" at the 1313 Bar at 1313 Kennedy Ave. He declined to elaborate.

Attempts to reach fire officials and police in the city of Duquesne were unsuccessful.

Shortly after midnight Monday, police found Donnell Demery, of Duquesne, shot multiple times and bleeding heavily at the scene of the shooting.

Mr. Demery died about an hour later at UPMC McKeesport, according to the Allegheny County medical examiner’s office.
