Westmoreland County Food Bank names new CEO

The board of directors of the Westmoreland County Food Bank on Tuesday appointed a new CEO.

Jennifer Miller, who has been with the food bank since 2005, has been selected to lead the organization.

Mrs. Miller had been serving as CEO on an interim basis since Kris M. Douglas resigned in October. She was previously the food bank’s director of development.

“We are fortunate to have someone with Mrs. Miller’s experience in food banking and human services lead the Westmoreland County Food Bank,” Marcia Kubas, chair of the board, said in a statement. “Over the past two months, Mrs. Miller has seamlessly transitioned into the CEO role.”

Mrs. Miller has 21 years of food banking experience and was the Fayette County Community Action Agency’s food bank manager for eight years.

As the Westmoreland County Food Bank’s director of development, Mrs. Miller oversaw grants and fund requests and managed the financial donor database.

She is a board member of Feeding Pennsylvania, a state-wide association of Feeding America Food Banks.
