HARRISBURG — Voters will select a replacement in May for Washington County state Rep. Brandon Neuman, a Democrat who resigned last month to become a judge.
The special election to fill the vacant seat in the 48th Legislative District will be held May 15, the same day as the primaries, House Speaker Mike Turzai (R, Bradford Woods) announced Monday. The district includes parts of Washington and Canonsburg. The person who wins the special election will fill the seat until the current term expires Nov. 30.
Neuman left the House Dec. 31 to become a Washington County Common Pleas Court judge.
