First responders called to apparent explosion at AmeriGas facility in Beaver County

First responders were called to an apparent explosion and subsequent fire Friday afternoon in a building in Aliquippa.

Post-Gazette news partner KDKA said the explosion occurred at an AmeriGas facility on Route 151 and was reported at 3:40 p.m.

KDKA reported the fire was under control after roughly an hour, but as of 6 p.m. heavy smoke and residual effects were still coming from the building.

No one was injured, KDKA said.
