Woman dies in car accident in Armstrong County

An Armstrong County woman died in a car accident Thursday afternoon, the Armstrong County coroner’s office said.

Alisha Lynn Diets, 34, of Parker, was driving southbound on Knox Road in Perry Township when she lost control of her vehicle, hit a bank and was ejected from her vehicle, the coroner’s office said.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Ms. Diets was not wearing a seatbelt, the coroner’s office said.

The coroner’s office said that the death was accidental, and the cause of death was due to blunt force trauma to the chest. Toxicology results will not be available for several weeks.

No further details were available. The cause of the crash is still under investigation by PSP Kittanning and the Armstrong County Coroner’s Office.
