Man wounded in North Braddock drive-by shooting

A man walking along a North Braddock street on Saturday night is in critical condition after he was wounded in drive-by shooting, Allegheny County police said.

Police said the 21-year-old man was in the 400 block of Hawkins Avenue when a vehicle, believed to be a light-colored crossover, opened fire.

A motive is unknown, police said.

Police said emergency dispatchers received multiple calls around 11:34 p.m. of shots fired and a man yelling for help.

Charges lodged in North Braddock arrest

The victim made his way to a home on Lobinger Avenue, where police found him with multiple gunshot wounds.

The man, whose identity has not been made publicly available, was taken to a Pittsburgh hospital. Police said he is expected to survive his injuries.
