Hearing for white supremacist Hardy Lloyd is delayed

A hearing for white supremacist Hardy Lloyd to address federal probation violations that are likely to send him back to prison has been delayed until next week.

Hardy Lloyd, 39, of Dormont, was supposed to have a hearing Wednesday but its been pushed back until next Tuesday, when he will appear before a U.S. magistrate judge to answer allegations that include lying to his probation officer about placing racist fliers on cars in the Squirrel Hill area, weapons possession and illegal use of computers.

Lloyd needed the extra time so his court-appointed lawyer could get up to speed on the case.

Lloyd had been released from prison in July after serving time on gun charges. U.S. marshals on Friday arrested him at his apartment after his probation officer said he lied about his activities in August. Prosecutors said he denied giving the Nazi salute and yelling "white power" at a protest in Mt. Lebanon when a video shows him doing those things and lied that he wasn't involved in placing anti-Semitic fliers on cars when video shows he was.

The U.S. attorney's office also said he illegally accessed computers at public libraries, ordered a martial arts weapon online and had a bunch of weapons at his residence.

The violations are almost certain to send Lloyd back to federal prison, where he already served a second term for previous probation violations.
