Man dead after motorcycle accident in Westmoreland County

An Upper Burrell Township man was identified as the victim of a motorcycle accident in Westmoreland County that occurred Friday evening.

According to the Westmoreland County coroner's office, William Montgomery, 59, was driving east on Seventh Street Road before traveling across the road and becoming separated from the vehicle. The victim landed in a residential yard where he was pronounced dead at the scene by the responding coroner, the report reads.

The office also reports that the driver was not wearing a helmet at the time of the incident.

Post-Gazette news partner KDKA reports that the call for the crash at the intersection of Seventh Street and Upper Drennen roads of Upper Burrell Township came in around 4 p.m., dispatchers said.
