Man hospitalized after shooting at Lady Di’s bar in East Hills

Police are investigating after a man was shot early Monday near a bar in Pittsburgh’s East Hills neighborhood. 

Officers responded after midnight to the 7900 block of Frankstown Avenue for reports of a man shot, according to Pittsburgh police spokesman Maurice Matthews.

Once on scene, authorities found a man inside Lady Di’s bar who had been shot in the abdomen, Post-Gazette news partner KDKA-TV said.

The victim, whose identity was not released, was taken to a hospital in stable condition, police said.

The victim told police he was shot by an unknown man near the main entrance of the bar. The suspect, who was reportedly wearing jeans and sporting a goatee, fled the scene.
