Penn Hills woman dies in Plum crash

A 22-year-old Penn Hills woman was killed yesterday morning after a two-vehicle collision in Plum.

Allegheny County police are investigating.

Bowen was not wearing a seat belt, Plum Police Chief Robert Payne said.

Bowen was turning from Logans Ferry Road toward Route 909 at 9:51 a.m., while the other driver, Jason Glenburg, age unknown, of New Kensington, was making a left turn in his pickup truck from Route 909 onto Logans Ferry.

"It appears he may have cut [the turn] short, but we don't know if there's going to be homicide charges," county police Superintendent Charles Moffatt said. He added that it did not appear that Bowen did anything wrong.

Payne said Bowen had a stop sign and Glenburg did not. He said speed was a factor in the accident.

FILE - Rioters wave flags on the West Front of the U.S. Capitol in Washington on Jan. 6, 2021. Federal prosecutors say a network of supporters has helped fugitives from Florida avoid capture to face charges stemming from the riot. Prosecutors argued Thursday, March 14, 2024, that a Jan. 6 defendant, Thomas Osborne, is a flight risk because he is close to the family of a brother and sister from Lakeland, Fla. who remained on the run for months after they were charged with storming the Capitol.
