Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh has expanded hours of operations for many of its branches across the city.
The new hours went into effect this week, and a news release said they are the first in what is a phased restoration to pre-pandemic service hours.
In general, according to a schedule with the release, neighborhood branches will now have expanded hours one or two days a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays, operating from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
“In total, library customers will gain an additional 46 hours per week,” according to the release.
Hours at the Main library in Oakland, and the Downtown, East Liberty, Squirrel Hill, and LAMP/Library of Accessible Media for Pennsylvanians will remain unchanged.
