Mon parking wharf remains closed until further notice

The Public Parking Authority of Pittsburgh announced Thursday that the Mon Wharf will continue to be closed Friday and until further notice due to a flood advisory being extended.

The Ohio River is expected to crest at 20 feet for the second time this week Friday morning and not recede until Saturday evening. The wharf floods at 18 feet.

Cleanup efforts will begin Sunday afternoon and run through Tuesday. The authority said it will attempt to open at least a portion of the wharf by Tuesday morning.
