Rivers Casino to open new sportsbook Monday

Rivers Casino on Monday afternoon will unveil its state-of-the-art, $5 million BetRivers Sportsbook, just in time for sports bettors to lay wagers on the Steelers-Bengals game that night.

The grand opening at 2:30 p.m. will feature Iceburgh, the mascot of the Pittsburgh Penguins, confetti cannons, a D.J. countdown and Rivers officials.

Rivers has operated a sportsbook in a temporary location in the casino since December 2018. The new facility, located in the center of the gaming floor where the Levels Lounge once operated, will be 5,500 square feet, or double the existing sportsbook

There will be two 50-by-7-foot LED monitors and 24 flat-screen, high-definition monitors with sports programming. Wagers on sporting events can be made at six manned betting windows or one of 33 self-service kiosks.
