A Butler County man was killed and a woman injured in an overnight rollover crash on the North Shore.

Pittsburgh police said the driver lost control of his vehicle on the ramp to the Fort Duquesne Bridge near the intersection of Allegheny and Ridge avenues around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The driver, identified as Joshua E. Wine, 30, of Zelienople, was found inside the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Allegheny County medical examiner’s office.

The woman was transported to Allegheny General Hospital in stable condition, Mr. Togneri said.

Police said the vehicle was approaching the on ramp from Reedsdale Street when the crash occurred. An investigation continues into the cause.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office ruled Mr. Wine’s death an accident and said he died from blunt force trauma of the head and trunk.
