You’d be forgiven for thinking Pittsburgh city hall stumbled back a few decades Monday morning.
Netflix’s “Mindhunter” thriller series, set in the late 1970s, shot at least two scenes before midday at the City-County Building, the Downtown headquarters of city government.
In one scene, actors in ’70s-style garb — including apparent extras looking like reporters — rushed toward the building entrance on the Grant Street portico. For another, crew members had set up a lectern inside the first floor to create a news conference setting.
“Mindhunter” features FBI agents who study serial killers. Its second season is slated for release in 2019. Last month, the series put out a call for extras in southwestern Pennsylvania as it shoots in the Pittsburgh area. Wilkinsburg faced road closures in September to accommodate filming.
