Authorities have identified a man who was killed in a two-vehicle crash at a convenience store in Homewood early Sunday.
The victim is James Damon Blackburne, 23, of Pittsburgh.
Pittsburgh police said the crash happened at 3:30 a.m. at the intersection of Frankstown Road and Washington Boulevard.
When police arrived at the scene, Mr. Blackburne was found pinned beneath a vehicle. He died at the scene.
The initial police investigation indicated that Mr. Blackburne was driving a car from the convenience store parking lot. He was attempting to make a turn at the intersection when he collided with another vehicle on Washington Boulevard.
The car that was operated by Mr. Blackburne spun out of control, and he was ejected, police said.
An investigation is continuing. There are no indications of any other injuries. Police did not say if any charges are forthcoming.
