City house fire brought under control

Firefighters around dawn today brought under control a two-alarm house fire in the city's Perry South neighborhood.

The flames broke out in the early morning hours in the unoccupied home at 2828 Perrysville Ave., not far from the intersection with Marshall Avenue.

Paramedics at the scene treated one unidentified firefighter who suffered shortness of breath.
