Another Pittsburgh Yuletide tradition returned to the Carnegie Museum’s Hall of Architecture, Friday night. More than 300 guests came to enjoy a cocktail party under the glow of five fabulous holiday trees decorated by the Women’s Committee of the Museum of Art.
First-time event chair Anne Gailliot (with Peter Nero) brings a family link to the Carnegie Trees holiday tradition. She is the daughter of Lou Gailliot, a longtime committee member, and remembers her mother and her friends working on the trees.
“Now here I am chair of the trees 2022, taking it to the future,” she said with a smile. “We have a new, young committee.”
Party chairs Libby Windsor (with Ben) and Bianca D’Elia brought more youthful energy to the event, along with installation chairs Sarah Meehan Parker (with Stan) and Sara Leone.
“We are so pleased to be hosting the Carnegie Trees opening celebration event,” said Jennifer Muse (with Jay), president of the Women’s Committee of the Carnegie Museum of Art.
Providing the soundtrack to the much anticipated party was the Rick Purcell Trio. The Winter Wonderland Woodlands dinner followed the preview party in the music hall foyer for 135 guests.
