Sun Smart Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh-based dermatologists Dr. Christie Regula and Dr. Justin Vujevich are on a mission. They’ve tasked themselves with finding ways to dispense free sunscreen all across the Pittsburgh region. To make this a reality, they held their second annual Sun Smart fundraising event on Thursday night on the rooftop of Hotel Monaco, Downtown, raising $7,000 for the cause. “This year’s event helped to kick off our new community grant program, which we are so excited about. This will allow individual or community groups to directly apply for a sunscreen dispenser to be installed at their location of choice,” said Dr. Regula. “We hope Sun Smart Pittsburgh will continue to grow and provide sunscreen dispensers to more families in Western Pennsylvania,” added Dr. Vujevich. Would you like a sunscreen dispenser in your community? The application can be found: www.sunsmartpgh.org. Dispensers may also be purchased to honor a loved one or our mobile dispensers can be borrowed for community events. In addition, Sun Smart Pittsburgh is developing corporate partnerships to develop sun safety programming in the workplace.
