#DiscoInferno: More than 350 supporters of Amachi Pittsburgh, which helps the children of incarcerated parents, displayed their disco dance moves at PNC Riverwalk and Hall of Fame Club, North Shore, on Thursday night. Guests donned headphones for the silent disco, circled the silent auction, or enjoyed a buffet and hors d’oeuvres of mac ’n’ cheese and vegetable egg rolls. “The disco theme is great for getting Amachi recognized and supported,” said board chair Steve Davis (with Paula Castleberry).
#DoTheHustle: Diving into the ’70s, many came dressed in their best vintage Studio 54 gear. Among those who couldn’t resist the beat were John Wetzel, honorary chair and secretary of the state Department of Corrections, Amachi executive director Anna Hollis (with Gregg Kander), Christina O’Toole, Todd Reidbord, Gregg and Susie Perelman, Stacy Weiss with Will Carpenter, Bill Perry, Tim McVay and David Bush, Toni Chiappini, Donna Murtha, Deborah Perry, Connie Bettis, Gina Hickman with Fred Hill, Rebecca Whitlinger, Cher and Irwin Kotovsky, Colleen Fedor, Karen Garrett, Rick Stern, Braddock Mayor John Fetterman with Gisele, Ginny Giles, city Councilman Corey O’Connor and his mother, Judy O’Connor and Vic Zakowski, who was dressed as disco Elvis.
