The best way to warm up a new house is with holiday decorations.
Four large houses in Peters, Washington County, will be gilt to the hilt for the Peters Watchful Shepherd Holiday Home Tour, which runs from 1 to 4 p.m. Dec. 8.
The 10th anniversary tour benefits Watchful Shepherd USA, a nonprofit that works with Washington County Child Protective Services to provide electronic monitoring devices to children in potentially dangerous family situations.
Tickets are $25 in advance at area shops or by calling 724-941-3339. Tickets are also available on tour day at Miller's Ace Hardware, Route 19, McMurray, or at houses on the tour. Information and a list of stores at www.watchful.org.
