Pittsburgh’s brine-ist: Pickleburgh sets dates for this year’s festival

Picklesburgh, the winner of its 2025 Readers’ Choice Award for Best Specialty Food Festival in USA Today, will be back on the streets July 11 to 13.

The location for the annual festival, presented by Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership (PDP), will be announced at a later date.

Last year’s event, on the Boulevard of the Allies, broke attendance records, with a crowd of 250,000, per a PDP news release on Wednesday. The festival had moved from its prior location on the Allegheny Riverfront in 2023.

Launched in 2015, Picklesburgh returned to No. 1 in the USA Today poll for the fourth time, after finishing in second place in last year’s poll.

“We want to thank all the pickle-passionate people and dill devotees who cast their votes over the past few weeks,” Jeremy Waldrup, president and CEO of the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership said in the release. “We look forward to relishing this sweet victory with all of you when Picklesburgh returns in July!”
