“Poured in Pennsylvania,” a craft beer documentary that had its world premiere during Harrisburg Beer Week last month, is showing this weekend at Row House Cinema in Lawrenceville.
The documentary was made by Harrisburg video production company GK Visual, which traveled the state documenting breweries and the people who own and run them. Pittsburgh-area ones who made the cut include Brew Gentlemen, Dancing Gnome, East End, Levity, Noble Stein, North Country, Penn, Southern Tier, Spoonwood and Sprague Farm.
If you’re seeing the movie, you also can get a $7 tasting flight in the Rowhouse taproom of four 5-ounce brews from five picks from breweries in the movies: Levity Haze of Passion, Penn IPA, Noble Stein ESB, Spoonwood Marmalade Wheat and Sly Fox Mudlust.

Also pouring on Friday is Pour at the Park, the Allegheny County Parks Foundation’s family-friendly fundraiser beer festival in South Park. A sister event to the one that started in North Park, the fest offers craft beers and spirits with local foods and live music in the Museum Building at South Park Fairgrounds from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.. Tickets are $55, or $20 for designated drivers and children 12 and older (younger children can come for free). The 260-year-old Samuel Smith Brewery’s second shipment of draft beer to the U.S. is its venerable Nut Brown Ale, a keg of which will be tapped and toasted at 6 p.m. Thursday at Ember & Vine inside the DoubleTree Cranberry. Several other places got kegs, too.

The well-regarded brews of Tampa’s Cigar City Brewing Co. will be available in Western Pennsylvania, a rollout that will be marked by a series of events starting Monday, May 14: from 4 to 6 p.m. at Over the Bar Bicycle Cafe; 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Doublewide Grill and 7:30 to 9 p.m. at Urban Tap, all on the South Side. Tuesday, May 15: 4:30 to 6 p.m. at Harris Grill, Downtown; 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Yard, Downtown and 7:30 to 9 p.m. at Beerhead, North Side. Wednesday, May 16: 4 to 6 p.m. at the Giant Eagle Market District at the Waterworks. Lots of other places are marking the occasion, as well.

An interesting new beer is going fast on draft at Penn Brewery and its new location at Pittsburgh International Airport. It’s an imperial “breakfast” stout, at 10.25 percent alcohol by volume, made with a variety of malts and hops plus “everything you would want for breakfast in a glass” — Frost Ridge Maple Farms maple sap, locally light-roasted Commonplace Coffee Papua New Guinea coffee beans, Dominican cacao nibs, oats and lactose. Its name: Breakfast of ChampYinz.
