Food Network's Guy Fieri to open burger restaurant at First Niagara Pavilion

Guy Fieri’s version of flavor town is coming to First Niagara Pavilion in Burgettstown.

The revved-up, spiky-haired host of “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives“ on Food Network is the face of Guy’s Burger Joint at the venue.

Here, diners can try his oft-cited Donkey Sauce on dishes like the Real Cheezy Burger with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, “super melty cheese” and “a liberal slathering” of that garlic-mayo-Worcestershire combination. The restaurant will also offer black bean vegetable burgers and vegetarian nachos along with plenty of dishes that cater to carnivores.

Scheduled to open before the end of the month, Guy’s Burger Joint is a partnership with entertainment company Live Nation and Legends hospitality, the food and drink provider at venues such as Yankee Stadium in the Bronx and AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, home to the Dallas Cowboys.

The burger restaurant is one of 12 that will debut this season at stadiums affiliated with Live Nation around the country, including locations such as Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, Calif., and MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre in Tampa, Fla.

The eatery will offer counter service, promising “new recipes with humanely raised proteins and locally-sourced produce at unprecedented levels,” as well as 100 percent biodegradable glasses, plates, napkins and utensils.

Mr. Fieri is also behind Guy’s American Kitchen and Bar in Manhattan, with variations on the restaurant in Baltimore, Las Vegas and Mount Pocono, Pa.; Guy Fieri’s Chophouse in Atlantic City and Johnny Garlic’s in several California locations along with a stand-alone Tex Wasabi’s in Santa Rosa, Calif.
