PNC Bank is dramatically increasing the number of ATMs customers can use without surcharges by joining NCR’s Allpoint ATM network.
The partnership, announced Tuesday, gives customers access without fees to cash through roughly 41,000 Allpoint machines across the country, including in Hawaii and Alaska.
Altogether, customers now have surcharge-free access to nearly 60,000 PNC Bank and PNC partner ATMs nationwide. PNC owns and operates about 9,300 ATMs in the U.S.
NCR’s Allpoint network is the largest retail-based surcharge-free ATM network in the U.S., with machines in locations including grocery and convenience stores, pharmacies and big-box stores.
“Partnering with NCR’s Allpoint ATM network allows us to more than triple our already expansive network, providing our customers with significantly greater surcharge-free access to their cash from coast to coast,” PNC’s head of retail banking, Alex Overstrom, said in a statement.
Functions at PNC partner ATMs may be limited to cash withdrawals.
