PNC Financial Services Group is closing three more bank branches in the Pittsburgh region as it continues to reduce its branch footprint.
The three set to close June 11 will be consolidated with nearby PNC branch locations, the bank said.
Those to be shuttered are located at 105 Seminary Ave., Oakdale; 95 Blazier Drive, McCandless; and 498 Merchant St., Ambridge.
PNC said it is reducing physical locations because many customers are shifting to electronic and phone options for banking transactions.
About 77% of consumer customers used “non-teller channels” for most transactions during the fourth quarter of 2020, said Marcey Zwiebel, a bank spokeswoman.
“These shifts in the way customers are conducting their banking transactions are important inputs that inform our branch consolidation decisions,” she said.
