The Monroeville Mall has been sold.
Chattanooga-based CBL Properties said Friday that it sold the mall for $34 million. The company did not identify the buyer.
Stephen D. Lebovitz, CBL’s chief executive officer, said the sale “allows us to focus efforts on higher productivity properties, generates significant cash proceeds and further reduces leverage.”

The mall opened in 1969 with 1.15 million square feet of space and was renovated in 2003.
