Breeze Airways will add a Tampa nonstop destination from Pittsburgh in October

Breeze Airways is adding yet another nonstop destination to its stable of flights from Pittsburgh International Airport.

The low-cost airline will start service to Tampa International Airport on October 5 with flights on Thursdays and Sundays

With the addition, Breeze will offer a dozen flights from Pittsburgh. It has been rapidly expanding at the Findlay airport over the last year after starting service here in 2021.

Destinations include Charleston, S.C.; Hartford, Ct.; Jacksonville, Fla.; New Orleans; Orange County, California (shifting to Los Angeles International in September); Norfolk, Va.; Portland, Maine; and Providence, R.I..

“We have seen amazing demand in Pittsburgh as we continue to expand and grow at PIT,” Breeze President Tom Doxey said in a statement. “This new route to Tampa will offer our guests in Pennsylvania a dozen nonstop destinations — in just two years of service.”

One-way fares for the Tampa flight start at $59 if purchased by July 3. Fares are higher for items like carry-ons, checked bags, drinks and snacks, and priority boarding.

Southwest Airlines also offers nonstop service to Tampa from Pittsburgh International.
