The opening of the Interstate 99 extension in Blair and Centre counties is on hold again, this time because of weather.
Parts of the highway were supposed to open today, but state transportation officials say the winter storm forced a change of plans.
There is no word on a new opening date. PennDOT says they're waiting to see the weather forecast for the next few days.

PennDOT has been building the road for years, but work has been hampered by environmental concerns about acid-producing rock unearthed during construction just outside of State College.
The state hopes to finish the full 18-mile stretch of highway by the end of 2008, about a year behind schedule.
