Arts festival band cancels

Arts festival band cancels

The headlining American funk and soul band scheduled to perform at the Three Rivers Arts Festival tonight cancelled their show after their tour bus broke down in New Jersey.

The Robert Randolph & The Family Band, known for their lively shows, cancelled their show after their bus broke down and a subsequent flight from Newark to Pittsburgh was cancelled because of weather conditions.

Lindsay Clark, commutations coordinator for the festival, said the cancellation was a minor inconvenience because other bands were on hand to perform. Concert-goers tonight were indifferent about the cancelled show, and many set up their own jam sessions with bongos, guitars and even Hula Hoop background dancers.
