WYEP returns to the airwaves after transmitter failure

The fuzz is finally cleared at 91.3.

WYEP-FM returned to the airwaves just after 10 a.m. Tuesday after being a casualty of the high winds on Sunday afternoon.

The station had been operating with its usual programming online since its transmitter, located at Calvary Cemetery in Hazelwood, was knocked out around 3 p.m. Sunday.

Along with power, the station also has a new Evening Mix host. WYEP announced Tuesday that it had hired Liz Felix to replace Cindy Howes, who left the station for a job in Boston in December.
