Abby Lee Miller has been in a California federal prison for nine days now. Not surprising, Lifetime, the network that brought the world her first show, “Dance Moms,” as well as various spinoffs, wants to give you the scoop.
“Dance Moms: Abby Tells All Exclusive” is set to air Tuesday at 8 p.m. It promises a sit-down with Jedediah Bila (“The View”), a peek at Ms. Miller’s “last supper” with friends before entering prison, her “last days of freedom” and “exclusive scenes of her surrender to Victorville Federal Correctional Institution.”
Ms. Miller was convicted of bankruptcy fraud after hiding $775,000 in income during her Chapter 11 filing. She was sentenced to one year and a day in prison, although some have speculated it will be more like 10 months.
In a “Good Morning America” interview in May, she said, “I’m just going to pretend I’m shooting a movie and we’re on the set and I’m there for 10 months, and that’s how it’s going to be.”
Lifetime is dovetailing the special to the Aug. 1 return of “Dance Moms.”
