Cooper family brings Broadway to the Trust Cabaret stage

Tony Award-winner Chuck Cooper and talented offspring Lilli and Eddie will make the Trust Cabaret Series a family affair for two shows Monday at the Greer Cabaret, Downtown.

Proud dad Chuck is currently in the cast of Broadway’s “Choir Boy,” the play by Oscar-winner Tarell Alvin McCraney (”Moonlight”) that includes a trio of Carnegie Mellon alumni. He is a veteran of 15 Broadway shows and won his Tony in 1997 as best featured actor in a musical for Cy Coleman’s “The Life.” 

Lilli Cooper can be seen on Broadway as Sandy Cheeks in the “SpongeBob SquarePants” musical and is the creator and star of the Glamour.com web series “It’s Not Okay, Cupid.” At age 16, she originated the role of Martha in “Spring Awakening.”

Eddie Cooper’s recent musicals include “Assassins” and “Little Shop of Horrors” for Encores! Off Center. His television credits include “Mozart in the Jungle,” “Banshee” and HBO’s “The Night Of.”
