Taylor Swift broke the attendance record at Acrisure Stadium Saturday night with a sold-out crowd of 73,117, topping the stadium previous record held by Garth Brooks, who drew 72,887 in 2019.
With Acrisure being the city’s biggest venue, that makes it the largest ticketed event in Pittsburgh history.
That doesn’t count the thousands of fans who were packed into the parks listening to the show from outside the stadium.
The Eras Tour, breaking records nationwide, is the superstar’s first tour since Reputation in 2018. She is playing shows that run almost three and a half hours.
Swifties worldwide have been glued to social media every night to see what the surprise songs will be. Every 44-song set has two of them that are unique to the show.
On Friday, Swift dug into the vault for the “Fearless” outtake “Mr. Perfectly Fine” on acoustic guitar, followed by “The Last Time” from “Red” on piano.
On Saturday night, she did “Seven,” a song from “Folklore,” with her producer Aaron Dessner (of The National), and “The Story of Us,” from “Speak Now,” on acoustic guitar. The list of surprise songs is now around 70.
