When tickets went on sale in November, Taylor Swift broke Ticketmaster. Ever since, people have been paying thousands to get in the door for her sold-out 24-city, 60-night “Eras Tour” that has been breaking attendance records in stadiums across the country.
Not only that, along the tour route, thousands of fans, without tickets, are gathering to listen to the show outside the venue.
The spectacle hits the North Shore this weekend, when Acrisure Stadium and the surrounding area will turn into a sea of sequins, fringe, cowboy boots and pastel.
The city’s entire special deployment division will be used over the weekend, and officials said 50 officers will be inside the 68,000-capacity stadium with 25 outside.
Two dozen paramedics will be stationed inside, with ambulances and other transport units outside.
Here’s everything you need to know as Pittsburgh prepares for its turn.
