Country star and Munhall native Gabby Barrett will return home to play postgame concert at PNC Park on Aug. 11 following the the Pirates’ matchup against the Cincinnati Reds.
The concert is included in all game tickets for that night. Tickets are available now at pirates.com/gabby.
“I’m so thankful to have performed the national anthem several times for the Pittsburgh Pirates and can’t wait to come back to my hometown for this show,” Barrett said in a statement.
“I remember standing on their field as a little girl, and now being able to return to the same place with my own little girl is something really special. I’m excited to enjoy the game with my family this August.”
The former “American Idol” finalist, who has performed the national anthem for the Pirates several times throughout her career, last played here in August 2022 at The Pavilion at Star Lake with Jason Aldean. Earlier in the day, she performed and met with young patients from UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.
Barrett, who is based in Nashville, is currently in the studio working on her sophomore album, the followup to “GOLDMINE.”
Her Pittsburgh stop is part of a summer tour with select dates supporting Kane Brown.
