Based on his songs, we can assume Morgan Wallen fans like pickup trucks, tailgates and having a few beers.
On Thursday, those fans would do well to skip out of work early and get to it in the afternoon at The Pavilion at Star Lake.
Live Nation sent out an alert to ticketholders for the country star’s first headlining show in the area, warning that “This is a week night show, anticipate high traffic volumes on major highways, early arrival is strongly encouraged.”
Parking lots will only be accessible to ticket holders. These are the times:
- Early Entry Parking begins at 1 p.m.
- Parking lots open at 3 p.m.
- Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
- Show begins with Hardy at 7 p.m.
This is the first sold-out show of the season at Star Lake, so the crowd could exceed 23,000.
There was heavy traffic for Dead & Company on July 12, with about 10,000 fewer fans. It took me about 90 minutes to get there from the city, using some back roads.
The alert continues, “Carpool with friends, utilize Uber drop off/pick up areas located at the top of the entrance ramp. Download the Live Nation or Ticketmaster app to access your mobile tickets before you get in line. Don't forget, all of our shows are RAIN OR SHINE.”
Wallen is touring behind his second album, “Dangerous: The Double Album,” which sat at the top of the charts for 10 weeks.
Verified Resale Tickets on the Live Nation site were starting at $337 for the lawn and $525 for the pavilion on Tuesday.
